This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are perfect size. I had a king size bed. The bathroom was nice with the tile floors and what seemed like a deeper tub than normal but maybe that was just me. The closet was a quarter the size of the room so definitely a walk-in closet and if you have lots of luggage, great place to put it. The location is wonderful right by the lake where you can go down to lakeside. Downside is I had a plan for every meal while I was there so I never got to try the in-house restaurant. But the menu look awesome and so did the food when I saw people eating on the porch. Very cozy furniture in lobby area and nice rocking chairs out on the front porches of multiple buildings. Located right next to the lake and right next to downtown so you can easily walk into downtown multiple restaurants and shops. Recommend staying for more than one day like I did as you will need the time to be able to experience the area properly.

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch! Wonderful view at this unique historic hotel. We have eaten here several times and have not been disappointed. Bella was our server today. She was kind and professional. Very attentive. We are looking forward to seeing her again!!

I took my mom and sister there for lunch. My only disappointment was that it was too hot to eat out on the porch. I’ll be back again on a cooler day. Lunch was delicious. The desert menu presents the problem of trying to choose. We ordered the pecan pie which was delicious. Nora was our server and took great care of us.

I wanted to have a private dining experience for a surprise retirement party and looked around at a couple of different places. The Lakeside Inn was perfect for what I was looking for. I booked the Grandview room and had around 17-18 people. Super comfortable fit. Food was amazing and so were the servers, Mackenzie and Bree S! I received so many texts afterwards, complimenting the food, atmosphere and service! 10/10! p.s. Get the Pork Belly appetizer!

Brittany J in the bar area was amazing! We had the best time sitting at the bar. She was personable and very welcoming. Excellent bar tender with great recommendations. Later, she was our server for lunch, which did not disappoint! Their Cobb Salad was delicious and huge! Christopher was the gracious gentleman that showed us the wedding venue options. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the property, friendly and a welcoming man. We also had the pleasure of meeting Mr Wright, who had a way of making the guests feel special and welcomed. We highly recommend Lakeside Inn.

We had a fabulous stay at the Lakeside Inn. The hospitality was superb, we had breakfast at the inn in the morning, food was immaculate! Props to the chef and their team. We had a beautiful waitress named Bella who was so sweet and welcoming on my mom’s birthday. We’ll be more than happy to return for another stay. I’m not sure what that man with the glasses who seemed like the hospitality host, he was lovely as well. :)

We have stayed at Lakeside Inn twice in the past two years and loved our stays. We knew that the Inn property would be like stepping back in time. I loved the old tubs in the bathrooms. Some reviewers discuss the outdated carpet and furniture. However, if they were updated you wouldn't get the same feel. The restaurant and bar is amazing. We had some of the best food in Mt.Dora there. The Gatehouse on property is a very nice little shop. Downtown is literally two steps away. Every meal we had was awesome! While you are there we suggest doing the Dora Canal catboat tour! I can't imagine staying anywhere else while in Mt. Dora.

We ate at the upscale dining restaurant. No comment about rooms because we didn’t stay at Lakeside Inn. The food was delicious! I ordered a salad and added salmon. The piece of salmon that came on top of my salad was very generous. My husband ordered the brisket and enjoyed it a lot, also a large portion. Our waitress was Rhiley B and she very upbeat and attentive, she is an asset to the restaurant. We enjoyed talking to her! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Lakeside Inn. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The hotel's restaurant was outstanding, with delicious food and excellent service. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view of the lake. The sunsets are absolutely stunning and create a truly relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for a charming place to stay with exceptional hospitality, great dining, and unforgettable views, this is the perfect choice. We can't wait to come back!
